How much water does a foot of snow produce?
November 8, 2017There are two groups of people that can be wrong half the time and still be well compensated: lawyers and your local weatherman. How many times have you heard a forecast from Joe Calhoun on WGAL or Tom Russell on WHP and it turned out to be completely wrong, or at least not entirely accurate? Probably a good bit. So take this for what it is worth, but just remember it is always better to be prepared.
The Farmer’s Almanac has made its prediction for this coming winter. According to the good almanac we are in for a “normal” winter temperature wise which will lead to above normal precipitation. That means a snowier than normal winter is predicted. This forecast is in store for both the northeast and the Great Lakes area. As a bonus the dates of January 20-23, February 4-7, February 16-19, March 1-3 and March 20-23 are highlights as dates with potentially heavy precipitation for the northeast. You have been warned!
